I'm Phua Kuan Yu — Kuan. AI engineer in Singapore. I build Verified Knowledge Agents: AI that cites its evidence or abstains, for work where a confident wrong answer costs real money.

Before this: scaled an e-commerce PPE business past $2M during COVID, ran crypto marketing, spent 11 months building a tax platform nobody bought (the most expensive lesson on this site), and shipped AI automation used inside a Big 4 tax practice. The full trail is in ventures and projects — including the failures, dated and documented.

I work in TypeScript on Bun, deploy to Cloudflare, and live in Claude Code. I believe builders beat consumers, shipped-and-crappy beats polished-and-imaginary, and power should flow from institutions to individuals.
