Whats it like to be at Network School
There’s a certain rhythm to life here at Network School—a cadence that starts not with the sunrise, but the night before. As I lay down each evening, I’m acutely aware that tomorrow’s success hinges on tonight’s rest. In a place teeming with high-achieving individuals and endless opportunities, managing my day isn’t just about time—it’s about energy, focus, and intention.
The Dawn of Discipline
My alarm sounds at 6:30 AM, but truth be told, I’m often already awake, mind buzzing with anticipation. By 7:00 AM, I’m at the gym, pushing through a rigorous workout that sets the tone for the day. There’s something profoundly grounding about starting with physical exertion—a reminder that progress requires effort, that strength is built through resilience.
Sweat-soaked and invigorated, I hit the showers. The quick 30-minute session leaves me drenched, but also cleansed—not just physically, but mentally. It’s a baptism of sorts, washing away doubts and distractions.
Breakfast of Visionaries
The international buffet breakfast in the lobby is more than a meal; it’s a meeting of minds. Over plates of diverse cuisines, conversations flow freely—ideas spark, collaborations form, and friendships deepen. This is where I realize the true essence of Network School: it’s not just a place; it’s a convergence of aligned passions and shared ambitions.
The Hustle and Flow
Post-breakfast, I head to the co-working space. The hum of creativity fills the air as everyone delves into their projects. I tackle my full-time work first, ensuring responsibilities are met. Then, it’s onto coding and working on bounties—a realm where challenges are puzzles waiting to be solved.
I carve out moments to jot down reflections, to catch up on upcoming events. The calendar here is a tapestry of opportunities: startup workshops, entrepreneur talks, AI video content generation sessions, Toastmasters clubs. Each one is a door to a new avenue of growth.
The Art of Saying No
But with abundance comes the paradox of choice. Every event is enticing—martial arts, gym sessions, beach runs, meditation circles, coding meetups, crypto discussions. They’re all threads of my interests woven into the fabric of daily life here.
Yet, I’ve learned that to do everything is to do nothing well. I’ve had to start saying no, to prioritize, to focus on what truly aligns with my goals. It’s a delicate balance—embracing the wealth of experiences while safeguarding my time and energy.
Evening Reflections
As the sun dips below the horizon, I squeeze in a training run. The rhythm of my footsteps on the path mirrors the heartbeat of this place—steady, purposeful, relentless. Dinner at Café 13 follows, where laughter and light-hearted games offer a reprieve from the day’s intensity.
Back in my room, I connect with my wife, sharing snippets of my day, grounding myself in the familiar warmth of home. Sleep comes not as an end, but as a necessary pause—a moment to recharge before the cycle begins anew.
Finding My Tribe
Being here feels almost surreal. For years, I’ve envisioned a community where discussions on cryptocurrency, health and longevity, entrepreneurship, resilience, high-performance mindsets, podcasts, software development, financial systems, geopolitics, global mobility, residency, and artificial intelligence are not just niche interests but shared passions. It’s incredible to finally be in a place where these conversations are the norm and where like-minded individuals come together to explore and expand on these ideas.
These dreams aren’t confined to my waking hours; nearly every other night, I find myself envisioning such a place. I wake up with a deep sense that this community exists somewhere beyond my current reach. But if the day ever comes when I can be part of it, I must be prepared. That’s why I dedicate myself to daily reading, listen to insightful podcasts, maintain rigorous training, and work diligently on projects. This preparation ensures that when the opportunity arises, I can stand shoulder to shoulder with my peers without falling behind.
In all these dreams, the best-case scenario was finding even one person who shared these interests and aspirations. Here, surrounded by so many like-minded individuals, it’s overwhelmingly amazing! I’m beyond excited and incredibly energized!
I’ve found my people.
There’s a profound sense of belonging, of finally stepping into a world that mirrors my aspirations and values. All the preparation—physical, mental, spiritual—has led me here. Yet, amidst this fulfillment lies a new challenge.
Pushing Beyond: The Mental Frontier
While everything feels aligned and supportive, there’s still one aspect that feels missing—a personal struggle I haven’t fully shared or found someone to discuss deeply. I’ve briefly mentioned David Goggins to a few people here, but I haven’t yet connected with anyone who truly resonates with his philosophy.
Goggins embodies the relentless pursuit of surpassing one’s limits, living constantly at the edge of potential, confronting inner demons, and overcoming daily weaknesses. It’s about harnessing that inner beast to push beyond fears and barriers. I’ve attempted conversations with our in-house Ironman athlete, hoping to uncover that elusive 10% mental edge I once grasped and sustained for a fleeting moment.
I’m eager to rediscover what it feels like to optimize every aspect of life—making decisions that align seamlessly with my true self, living each day 100.00% guilt free because at every single micro cross roads where decisions have to be made, using the 1 second principle, I immediately and without fail make the decision that aligns with my deepest values and goals. This journey is about reclaiming that mental fortitude, ensuring that I can fully contribute and grow alongside my peers here at Network School.
As these months progress, I hope to tap back into that state of peak mental performance, where every choice and action reflects my deepest values and aspirations. It’s a challenge, but one that I’m determined to embrace, knowing that the support and inspiration around me provide the perfect environment to achieve it.
Building Together
What’s next after finding your tribe? For me, it’s about contribution. It’s not enough to be surrounded by brilliance; I want to build alongside it. Time, however, is fleeting. Three months will pass in the blink of an eye. There’s an urgency to act, to create, to collaborate.
I remind myself daily: seize the moment. Dive into projects, initiate conversations, forge partnerships. The people here won’t be around forever, and neither will this unique convergence of opportunity and talent.
Staying Grounded
Despite the conveniences and the allure of success, I seek humility in the mundane. I’ve taken up doing my own laundry—a simple chore I’ve often outsourced or avoided. It’s a small act, but it keeps me connected to reality, a reminder that no matter how high we climb, staying grounded is essential.
Embracing the Journey
Life at Network School is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s about endurance, consistency, and pacing oneself. I can’t afford to get injured or burnt out. Nourishing my body with good food, ensuring adequate rest, and maintaining balance are as crucial as any professional endeavor.
Every day here is a gift—a chance to learn, grow, and forge meaningful connections. As I navigate this incredible journey, I hold onto the gratitude of being here, of living a reality that once was just a dream.
In the end, it’s not just about finding your people; it’s about becoming the person you’ve always aspired to be—within a community that challenges and supports you in equal measure.
