Day 9/10

I embarked on the day with a drive to camp, aiming to be there by 10 am. An essential reminder to grab my coffee lingered in my mind, as neglecting it often resulted in pounding headaches. The uncertainty of whether to stay in camp persisted, but I packed my essentials, anticipating whatever the day might hold.

Engaged in a conversation with T, delving into his recent life changes and acquisitions. He shared about his move to an EC, justifying the purchase of a car due to the necessity of paying parking fees. Calculations convinced him and his wife that they could afford a $50k deal on a 4-year-old used car.

Furnishing their new space involved resourceful choices, with most items sourced from Taobao and Malaysia, totaling around $15k. A notable indulgence was a $2k 4-star mattress. Other acquisitions included a $800 Samsung TV, $5k teak furniture from Malaysia, and a mix-and-match table from Taobao and Ikea.

Opting for an 8km run with Gab provided a refreshing break before a zichar dinner with Gab and JH. Returning to the bunk, I engaged in a chat with JH, unveiling the challenges within his girlfriend’s family. Their financial struggles, impending parents divorce, and mounting wedding expenses painted a tumultuous picture.

He still struggles with getting a job. procrastinating every single day opting for gaming on his ps4 that he paid a yearly subscription which allows access to new games monthly. Wish him all the best.

We had our discussions late into the night of 1am. Did not set any clear goals to accomplish the next day. Starting to think about IPPT in 2 days.
