Standing at the bustling Hanoi airport, I realized a dream was coming true: I was about to embark on a journey across Vietnam, not just for myself, but as a shared adventure with my parents, a heartfelt gift supported by my wife and me. Since growing up, i have a dream vision of taking my parents on an adventure, fully bonded by me. the vision tend to be riding the camels across the desserts. while writing this, it actually happened! although not bond by me, i brought my dad on a camel ride and dune bashing last year!

2. Itinerary Breakdown

Hanoi

• Check in - spent an hour plus trying to change rooms. at last still same room.

• Walking home with baggages
• dinner was great! but Mom Yen, did not cook and prepare everything properly. when pama arrived, still need to prepare the food and ask Vi to cook.

• After dinner Karaoke and maosan wang. Sing my secret song of 追梦赤子心。

• Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Bánh cuốn Breakfast and Local Coffee Shops: Describe the flavors and the atmosphere of the venues.
• Vietnamese Ah Pek and Wife go makan breakfast
  • good breakfast, and pama started walking and shopping, stopping by different shops.
  • Lim Kopi 1 at Cafe Yen. Wife’s favourite coffee place. I like the Solar or Lunar Latte.

  • After Lunch, dont want to go out play. PaMa disappear into the room to hibernate until 6pm. Brought them go foot massage. Then Pizza 4Ps.

3. Personal Reflections

• Favourite Meal: The Korean BBQ at Da Lat mountaint with view. Fresh cooling air breeze with great view. get to cook the meat myself. service is good where they constantly change the bbq net racks for us to keep it clean. food quality is good and nice. fire is hot. full of tools like tongs and scissors that help me cook better. with mom dad wife. best.

• Best Tasting Meal: First night meal at Vi’s house. Pho at home is the best tasting one.
• Best Moments:
  1. Running by the beach alone half naked with sun on my left side.
  2. When the sun rise just across the horizon. the Gigantic Bright RED BALL peering into our room reflecting off the mirror into my eyes when i was still sleeping.

• Proudest Photo Moment: crows was all challenging who can take the most romantic couple photo. No man there can still carry their woman like this.

  1. running around the lake in da lat, twice. Boring, dreary. but work is work.

  1. Most cities have night markets. but Da Lat one is different. Chill yet really large.

4. Practical Tips

• Travel Tips:
  1. Travelling with 4 parents should be more difficult than travellign with kids. You can order kids but you cannot order parents.
  2. Mom cannot stand not clean place like the guest house or sleeping on train.
• What Worked and What Didn’t: Be honest about the highs and lows of the trip, helping future travelers set realistic expectations.
• Train travel is rough. much rougher than expected. even playing and exerting the entire day, i still couldnt get a good rest on the train.
• arriving so early with baggage and no where to go also rough. think should just book a place to crash.
